When purchasing a travel insurance policy, carefully review the covered reasons as well as the police terms, conditions, and expulsions as coverage, plans, and providers differ globally. Note that travel insurance vernally doesn’t cover a “foreseen event” — or one that has a reasonable expectation of taking place—even if that event is one of the covered reasons. The coronavirus (COVID-19) may be considered a foreseen event and is likely not covered by most travel insurance policies.
